August recap,other notes including Senator Ed Reilly September 6 guest speaker

Wrap up of the August membership meeting; Councilman John Grasso was entertaining to say the least and had us all wanting for more however due to time the club will be in position to be forced to bring John back to the club to speak again in the near future. John’s knowledge of the budget in the county was educational for the crowd who heard John this past Tuesday.

Don’t forget about the tri club picnic that will take place in Pasadena on the 27th of this month, 2pm to whenever. For more information feel free to contact Shirley K at 410-760-6483. Also on the 27th is the annual AAYR vs AAYD softball game in Severn at Randazzo Softball Park. Time is 3pm as the GOP looks to take the 3rd game in a row. The club is looking for volunteers to the man the GOP booth at the AA county fair in September. I am hoping to raise my hand for the Thursday evening shift but we will see what the schedule looks like when it comes out. I believe that date would be September 15th, roughly 6-9pm. Once I get that information I will repost with correct time.

The September 6, 2011 speaker at 7pm at the Severn United Methodist Church will be State Senator Ed Reilly of the 33rd District. You are not going to want to miss a chance to hear Senator Reilly speak. The State Senator is a gentle giant who is very knowledgeable of State Government and an interesting hard working individual.
